Самый первый iPad был “просто iPad”, потому что других таких не было. Второй “просто iPad” появился на прилавках в марте 2021 года. Он был третьей моделью iPad, и первым iPad c Retina-дисплеем. Почти о всех его новшествах те, кого это интересовало, узнали заранее.

Какой это имело сакральный смысл – неизвестно. В прессе его стали называть iPad 3.

Главное, что бросалось в глаза (мне не бросилось, но писали об этом больше всего) – это отсутствие антибликового и олеофобного покрытия у экрана. Зато LCD-дисплей и стекло экрана не были неделимой сборкой, и замена потрескавшегося экрана обходилась в разы дешевле.

Из-за этого iPad “пятого поколения” был толще чем iPad Air 2. 7,5 мм вместо 6,1 мм. Почти на полтора миллиметра! Но в глаза это тоже не бросалось.

iPad “пятого поколения” проигрывал и собратьям с буквосочетанием “Pro” в названии: он не поддерживал ни Apple Pencil, ни клавиатуру (у него не было Smart Connection). Камеры были такими же как и у iPad Air 2: тыльная с разрешением в 8 МП и фронтальная с 1,2 МП.

Сердцем нового iPad была система-на-чипе Apple A9, с процессором Twister с тактовой частотой 1,85 ГГц, и графическим процессором PowerVR GT7600.

2 Гигабайта оперативной памяти (LPDDR4).

Две модели (iPad6,11 – только с WiFi и iPad6,12 – WiFi/Cellular), и две конфигурации флэш-памяти, 32 и 128 Гигабайт.

Варианты “только WiFi” стоили 329 и 429 долларов. Варианты WiFi/Cellular – 329 130 и 429 130 долларов.

Десятилетие iphone

9 января 2021 года исполнилось десять лет со дня презентации самого первого iPhone, это событие было отмечено выпуском пресс-релиза, а все кто участвовал в его создании и все еще работал в компании получили ценные подарки. Их оставалось очень немного.

В 2007 революция продолжалась. Впереди были MacBook Air, iPad, участие в создании Thunderbolt, превращение в самую богатую IT-компанию в мире, разработка собственных процессоров, лучшие UltraBook’и в мире.
