Вернемся к Badoo, у которой уже 214 млн пользователей. Когда вы ее создавали, было желание, я так понимаю, развивать ее как социальную сеть. Почему решили этого не делать?

Я правильно понимаю, что при помощи Hot or Not сбывается ваша давняя мечта завоевать американский рынок? А почему все-таки в Латинской Америке, в романских странах, в некоторых европейских странах ваша Badoo так хорошо пошла, а вот на американском рынке у нее, по подсчетам аналитиков IBIS World, всего 1% рынка?
Если бы я знал ответ на этот вопрос, я бы давно уже решил эту проблему. Есть тысячи причин, которые помогли успеху [или провалу] самых разных проектов. Например, было много вариантов WhatsApp, но запустился только WhatsApp, а до «Одноклассников» было много сервисов для школьных друзей, а запустился только этот.
У вас в Badoo так же, как и в «Мамбе», вашей первой сети знакомств, которая появилась в 2003 году, есть механизм «ярмарки тщеславия». Там человек может купить продвижение своего профиля, и это было основой монетизации этих проектов.
В «Мамбе», действительно, возможность поднять свой профиль выше, чем у других пользователей, стала первой историей завоевания российского рынка. С Badoo, у которой основная часть пользователей находится в Европе, многое по-другому. На Западе веба становится все меньше и меньше.
Например, когда мы рассылаем людям электронные письма и смотрим, на какой платформе они их открывают, мы видим, что в Америке около 75% пользуются смартфонами, в Англии — 65%. Чем южнее страна, тем ниже там процент смартфонов, но тем не менее он высокий.
А в России — я не знаю точного процента, может быть около 20%, и люди смотрят на наш продукт как на вебовский. Badoo уже давным-давно работает в основном на мобильных устройствах. И монетизация на мобильном телефоне работает иначе. Я не думаю, что будет какая-то проблема монетизации пользователей, так что самая главная задача для Hot or Not — набрать этих пользователей очень много.

Я правильно понимаю, что у вас уже 10 млн закачек в Штатах?
Да, но это достаточно маленькая цифра.
А за какой срок вы их набрали?
За несколько месяцев. И это притом что мы не проводим активного маркетинга. Когда мы купили Hot or Not, там было всего полмиллиона американцев.
Вы же сделали полностью новый интерфейс. Но что вы отвечаете, когда вам говорят, что он похож на интерфейс американского сервиса знакомств Tinder?
Tinder просто скопировали один кусочек нашего Hot or Not. Я думаю, что они увидели у нас две красивые кнопки и просто сделали дизайн, вдохновленный оригинальным сервисом [Hot or Not]. Но разница Hot or Not в том, что это не dating, не «электронная сваха».
Приведу пример. Есть ночной клуб в центре Сохо в Лондоне, называется The Box. Это очень популярное место, туда ходит даже королевская семья, очень важные селебрити. Туда очень сложно попасть. Нужно отстоять очередь на два-три часа, чтобы увидеть, что там очень дорогое шампанское.
А через дорогу другой клуб: такие же столики, такое же дорогое шампанское, такая же музыка, но это просто секс-клуб. И там нет очереди. Люди ходят туда удовлетворить свой специфический интерес. И вот таков Tinder: если с обеих сторон «лайк», составляется пара. У нас совсем другое позиционирование.
Другими словами, они нацелены на организацию свидания, которое в идеале закончится сексом, а вы нацелены на флирт?
Это не совсем флирт, это «на других посмотреть, себя показать» — такое модное место. И мы не объявляем, что у нас образовалось, например, 328 счастливых пар. Мы просто показываем людей с общими интересами, показываем их рейтинги, и, если, например, 328 человек ставят какой-нибудь девочке hot, то есть считают ее симпатичной, то она гордится этим и рассказывает подругам.
Вас уже упрекнули в том, что вы наняли бывшего пиар-директора Barry Diller IAC Джастин Сакко, которая, отправляясь в Африку, «прославилась» в прошлом году своим расистским твитом. Не рискованно ли это?

Да, но суть осталась та же. В классическом Hot or Not нужно было поставить балл от одного до десяти, и «в среднем по больнице» рейтинг мог получиться, скажем, семь или восемь. Поскольку в нашем случае люди играют не на экране компьютера [как в старом Hot or Not], а на мобильном телефоне, экран которого меньше, мы модернизировали игру.
То есть система по какому-то алгоритму выбирает, кого показать тому или иному пользователю?

Я могу только сказать, что покупал не у основателей (двух инженеров из Кремниевой долины Джеймса Хонга и Джима Янга — Forbes).
Ну да, она же несколько раз переходила из рук в руки…
И когда она стала уже совсем чемоданом без ручки, я купил.
За миллионы, десятки миллионов долларов?
Я же говорю, что не могу вам сказать. Это немало денег. Но и немного (смеется). Главное, что у Hot or Not теперь есть приемный отец. Когда сделка закрылась, Джеймс Хонг мне позвонил и сказал, что теперь проект в надежных руках.
Означает ли нынешняя сделка, что два ваших сервиса — Badoo и Hot or Not — будут объединены?
Я думаю, что мы будем позиционировать их совершенно по-разному. Hot or Not — это полностью американская история, и в Штатах про Badoo мало кто знает. Изначально Hot or Not был устроен так: пользователи компьютеров размещали при помощи приложения свои фотографии на сайте, а посетители рейтинговали их привлекательность по шкале от 1 до 10, выбирая таким образом самых сексапильных.
Но в отличие от сайтов знакомств, создатели которых вдохновлялись успехом Hot or Not, эта программа была игрушкой, сделанной для развлечения. В новой Hot or Not, работающей на смартфонах, 10-балльную систему сменили две кнопки — «сердечко», которое означает «симпатичный/ая» и «крест» — «не секси». Если двое пользователей отмечают друг друга «сердечками», приложение позволяет им начать общаться.

Новая гоночная игра от разработчика Hutch Games, где нужно соревноваться в скорости, в искусстве исполнения трюков и балансировки в воздухе на самых необычных машинах, в их числе – танки, грузовики, броневики, минивены, автобусы и другие.
Состязания в игре проводятся в PvP режиме, против остальных игроков. Для этого в Hot Wheels: Race Off сделано больше сорока гоночных трасс. Большая часть из них абсолютно безумные и это не только из-за мертвых петель. Лучше посмотреть самому.

Use the steps below to pair your devices and connect to Personal Hotspot with Bluetooth.
Pair your devices
- On the device that provides Personal Hotspot, go to Settings > Personal Hotspot and make sure Allow Others to Join is on.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is on.
- Keep this screen open, then follow the steps for the device that needs to connect:
- On your iPad or iPod touch, tap Settings > Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on. Tap the device that provides Personal Hotspot, confirm the code that appears, then tap Pair on both devices.

Once Hillary was elected I began to loose my faith in humanity. One day when I was looking through the app store to see if there was an app that could determine if my «Fidget spinner» was really a spinner, I stumbled across this app that showcases the potential of the human mind, technological ingenuity, and one of the biggest questions to mankind; is my hotdog really a hotdog? Once I downloaded this app I was instantly impressed. The graphics appear to be from at least 30 years into the future and the app has the power of a quantum super computer. I thought, well, this is all quite impressive but, does it really solve the problem? So I gave it my first test. I placed a hoverboard in front of the camera and sure enough, it was not a hotdog. Next, i got my pomeranian to dab in front of the camera. No hot dog. This was it. Time for the true test. I placed a franks all beef hotdog in front of the camera and prayed. My palms were sweating all over my phone and my knees were so weak I nearly fell to the floor. I launched the camera, and to the astonishment of the human race, sitting before me was a 100% certified hotdog. Ever since this experience my faith in the power of humanity was restored and my life has been completely changed for the better.

• Для данного приложения есть месячная и годовая подписка.
• В случае выбора бесплатной пробной, месячной или годовой подписки средства будут списаны с вашего счета iTunes после подтверждения подписки.
• Посредством баннеров и иных предложений в игре пользователям может быть предложено оформить бесплатную пробную подписку.
• Для каждой учётной записи iTunes бесплатный пробный период предоставляется только один раз.
• Получив предложение бесплатного пробного периода, пользователь должен зарегистрироваться для получения подписки и принять пробный период. За пользователем сохраняется право отказаться от подписки в любой момент до наступления последних 24 часов до конца пробного периода. По завершении пробного периода со счета пользователя, не отказавшегося от подписки не менее чем за 24 часа до конца пробного периода, списываются средства.
• Для управления подписками и отключения их автоматического продления после приобретения перейдите на страницу параметров учётной записи пользователя (раздел «Управление подписками»).
• Подписку можно отменить в любой момент, однако имейте в виду, что она остаётся действительной до конца текущего периода, поэтому оплата оставшегося периода подписки возвращена не будет.
