Deactivate your plan
Your plan is either prepaid or postpaid. To deactivate a prepaid plan, which is contract free, don’t renew it at the end of the month.
Postpaid plans renew monthly. To deactivate a postpaid plan:
- Go to Settings > Cellular Data.
- Tap the name of your carrier and choose not to renew your plan.
If a message says that the account type isn’t supported or if you got a SIM from your carrier and you don’t see a View Account button, call your carrier and ask them to deactivate your account.
Dictate text on ipad
On iPad, you can dictate text instead of typing it. (If you’re using an external keyboard, see Dictate text while using an Apple external keyboard.)
Make sure Enable Dictation is turned on in Settings > General > Keyboard.
Note: Dictation may not be available in all languages or in all countries or regions, and features may vary. Cellular data charges may apply. See View or change cellular data settings on iPad (Wi-Fi Cellular models).
Drag and drop between apps
With drag and drop, you can move text, photos, and files from one app to another. For example, you can drag text from Safari into a note, an image from Photos into a an email or a calendar event into a text message:
- Open the two apps in Split View or Slide Over.
- Touch and hold the item until it lifts up. To select multiple items, touch and hold an item, drag it slightly, then continue to hold it while you tap additional items with another finger. A badge indicates the number of selected items. To drag and drop text, select the text first, then touch and hold the text until it lifts up.
- Drag the item to the other app and drop it.

How to use a mouse with an ipad
Once paired, the mouse should work automatically whenever it’s turned on and in range of the iPad. As you move the mouse, you should see a small dot, which is the mouse pointer.
As it hovers over buttons and icons, you should see them expand or highlight to indicate they’re selected. If you move the pointer into a text field, you should see the I-beam indicating you can type.

If you stop moving the mouse, the dot will disappear so it’s not in the way. To get it back, just move the mouse again.

The Dock makes it easy to work with multiple apps at the same time. Drag an app out of the Dock to make a Slide Over or drag it to the right or left edge of the screen to make a Split View. You can even work on multiple apps in Slide Over, view two apps in Split View, and watch a movie or use FaceTime in Picture in Picture — all on the same screen.
